Strategies Fail because of Poor Execution
You might have the best thinkers in your team coming up with great ideas of a good strategy. But success comes at the last leg of the implementation... Execution. It's when our team goes out on the field on their own where the success of the strategy lies.
What you need is way to communicate the strategy to the field and likewise measure if the strategies are being implemented as expected. By measuring the efforts and measuring the results, we'll have an idea what works and what doesn't. This information will enable us to validate the efficiency of our strategy and calibrate our actions.
With existing technologies, we can already do both. Communicate strategies and plans to our field-force and also take measurements from the field. But like any other technology, it doesn't work without a driver. A champion who becomes the brain behind the machine.
"...like any other technology, it doesn't work without a driver. A champion who becomes the brain behind the machine."
Without one, we have nothing but a brain-dead machine.
